We keep over 80 sizes in stock, and we build just about anything we can draw. You may design bookcases or other furniture pieces to fit your room, your space; making your dream come true of a home library, nursery, study, office, bedroom room or whatever the project. Whether we draw up a sketch for you, working with dimensions you provide us, or whether you arrive at our store with a drawing in hand, we will work with you towards realizing your concept until it's just right. The design may include many elements, including legs, feet, drawers, doors, or crown moulding, just to mention a few of the options available among our broad repertoire. Our photographs on this site are but a handful of the thousands of custom pieces we have built over the last fifteen years. Many, many more photos are available for viewing at our store. Should you not see a picture of what you want on this web site, chances are that we can build it. Please do ask. We will gladly stain your bookcases from among 29 colors. Or should you prefer to do-it-yourself, you may purchase those same stains directly from us, complete with a stain kit (gloves, rags, sandpaper etc...) and easy to follow instructions. The Bookcase Store offers several stain lines, including the WATCO and GENERAL FINISHES brands. We also offer delivery services in and around Austin, however, at this time we do not offer shipping or cartage outside of greater Austin and neighboring towns. Once the design and project details are worked out, our "turn-around" time generally runs one to four weeks. We do ask that you put at least 25 percent down as a deposit on all custom work.
